Spotify Radio

Spotify Radio lets you sit back and listen to music you love. The more you personalize the stations to match your tastes the better they get.

Desktop

  1. ​Open Spotify.
  2. Click Radio on the left.
  3. Click CREATE NEW STATION.
  4. Enter a track, artist, or playlist, then select it to get started.

All done! You can create up to twenty stations at a time.

Top Tip: You can also start Radio stations from any song, album, artist, or playlist. Just right-click, and select Start Song/Album/Artist/Playlist Radio.

Personalize your stations
Just click the thumbs up or thumbs down icons when a track is playing and the station improves to match your tastes.

Follow your stations
To easily access a station that you’ve created, click FOLLOW. It will then appear in Stations under Your Music. To unfollow a station, just click FOLLOWING

WebPlayer

  1. ​Open Spotify.
  2. Click Radio on the left.

iPhone

  1. Tap Radio in the menu at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Tap the New Station button.
  3. Enter a track, artist, or playlist in the search box and select it to start playing.
  4. With Spotify Premium, you can start playing from any track. Tap the song you’d like to start with.
  5. To save a Radio Station, tap FOLLOW. Tap again to unfollow.

Followed Radio Stations appear in Your Library, under Stations.

Top Tip: You can also start a Radio station from elsewhere in the app. Just tap the three dots next to any song, album, artist, or playlist, and select Start Radio.

Personalize your stations

Stations can improve to match your tastes.

  1. Tap the Now Playing bar.
  2. Tap the thumbs up or thumbs down icons when a track is playing.

Delete unwanted stations

To remove a Station from Stations:

  1. Tap the Edit button in the top right corner.
  2. Tap the minus symbol next to the Station name.
  3. Tap Delete.
  4. Tap Done.

iPad

  1. ​Open Spotify.
  2. Tap Radio on the left.
  3. Tap the NEW STATION button.
  4. Enter a track, artist, or playlist in the search box, then select it to get started.​

  2. Tap the X in the top corner of the station you'd like to remove.
  3. Tap DONE.

Android

  1. Open Spotify.
  2. Tap the Menu () button in the top left corner.
  3. Tap Radio.
  4. Tap the new station button. 
  5. Enter a track, artist, or playlist in the search box and select it to start playing.
  6. With Spotify Premium, you start playing from any track. Tap the song you’d like to start with.
  7. To save a Radio station, tap FOLLOW. Tap again to unfollow.

Top Tip: You can also start a Radio station from elsewhere in the app. Just tap the three dots next to any song, album, artist, or playlist (or simply tap and hold the title), and select Go To Song/Album/Artist/Playlist Radio.

Followed Radio Stations appear in Your Music (or Your Library).

  1. Tap the Menu button () in the top left corner.
  2. Tap Your Music (or Your Library).
  3. Tap Stations.

Here you’ll see your followed Stations. Tap Create New Station to search for artists, albums, tracks, and playlists to base a Station on.

To unfollow a Station:

  1. Tap the three dots next to a station name, or tap and hold the station name, to bring up the station options.
  2. Select Stop Following.

Windows Phone

  1. Open Spotify.
  2. Tap the Menu button () in the top left corner.
  3. Tap Radio.
  4. Tap the new station button.
  5. Enter a track, artist, or playlist in the search box, then select it to get started.
