Video settings

With video settings, you have more control over the video content that plays on your Spotify account across all your devices.

Note: Video ads can't be turned off. If you're on our free, ad-supported plan, Canvas visuals will still sometimes show with audio ads.

These settings allow you to disable video on:

• Mobile and tablet
• Desktop
• Web player
• TV

Additionally, Family plan managers can turn on or off video settings for plan members.

Settings management

Choose how the following formats appear within your experience via three settings:

• Mobile and tablet

  1. Tap your profile picture at the top.
  2. Tap Settings and privacy .
  3. Tap Content and display.
  4. Under Videos and Canvas, switch on or off the settings you want.

• Web player

  1. Click your profile picture at the top.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Under Videos and Canvas, switch on or off the settings you want.

Note: These settings turn on or off video and Canvas across all platforms and devices where the account is used.

Control video settings of a Family plan member

For: Premium Family plan managers

You can turn on or off video and Canvas settings for other members of the plan.

• Mobile

  1. Tap your profile picture at the top.
  2. Tap Your Premium.
  3. Under Subscription, tap Manage.
  4. Select a plan member, then tap Videos and Canvas, and switch on or off the settings you want.

• Web

  1. Go to your account page.
  2. Under Subscription, go to Manage members.
  3. Select a plan member, then tap Videos and Canvas, and switch on or off the settings you want.
