Prompted Playlists

Prompted Playlist (Beta) lets you describe exactly what you want to hear and set the rules for your personalized playlist. Spotify then curates it to reflect your taste and keeps it fresh based on your listening patterns and real-time information about the world of music and podcasts.

Currently only available in English.

Create a Prompted playlist

For: Premium on mobile

1. Go to Your Library .
2. Tap Create at the top, then select Prompted Playlist.
3. Describe what you want to hear, whether it’s a specific vibe, scenario, or mood.
4. Set your playlist to refresh daily or weekly so your playlist always stays new.
5. Tap Generate playlist. Spotify then curates and keeps it fresh based on your listening patterns and world knowledge.

Each playlist includes simple notes explaining why certain songs or episodes fit. You can tap Notes to hide or turn them back on.

You can also edit your prompt anytime by selecting Edit prompt and choose how broad or specific you want to go.

Notes:

• This is a beta feature, meaning the experience will evolve and improve with time and your feedback.
• Usage limits are in place, and these may also change as we test, learn, and scale to more listeners. Any scheduled updates to your Prompted Playlists will also be subject to these usage limits.

Share your Prompted playlist

1. Tap Share.
2. Tap Copy link to share it directly with a friend.
   • When you share with another Premium user in our test markets, they’ll have the option to use your prompt to generate their own unique playlist.
   • Free users can enjoy listening to your shared playlist, but it won't be personalized for them. They also can’t use your prompt to create their own.
