Spotify Connect
With Spotify Connect, you can use one device to remotely control listening on another.
Check out Spotify Everywhere for compatible devices, or check with the manufacturer.
To use Spotify Connect, make sure:
- All devices are on the same WiFi network
- Your Spotify app is up-to-date
- All devices’ software is up-to-date
- Open Spotify and play something.
- Tap
at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap the device you want to play to.
Note: If you pause for more than 10 minutes you may need to reconnect.
Don't see you device?
Try switching off Show local devices only. This lets your app find nearby devices that aren’t on your WiFi network.
- Tap Home
.
- Tap Settings
.
- Tap Devices.
- Switch Show local devices only off.
- Open Spotify and play something.
- Click
in the bottom-right.
- Pick the device you want to play on.
Note: If you pause for more than 10 minutes you may need to reconnect.
Not working?
- Restart the Spotify app
- Close any other apps you’re not using
- Restart your devices
- Restart your WiFi
If possible, try a different WiFi connection
Don’t recognize a device?
You may have left your account logged in on someone else’s device. If you don’t have access to that device, ask its owner to log out of your account.
You can also sign out everywhere on your account page, and for extra safety reset your password.
