URL vs URI
A URI works the same as a URL but uses a different format.
You can easily convert a URL to a URI.
For example:
- URL: open.spotify.com/artist/1a2b3c4d5e6f7g
- URI: spotify:artist:1a2b3c4d5e6f7g
To get your URI:
- Follow the desktop steps.
- Hold the Alt key (Windows) / Option key (Mac).
- Select Copy Spotify URI.
Give your distributor your artist URL
Our preferred and recommended distributors let you include your artist link when delivering music.
If you work with one of these distributors, give them your artist URL or URI to make sure your music lands on the right profile.
