Spotify lock screen widget on iPhone

Launch Spotify from your iPhone lock screen.

To add the widget, you need:

• iPhone with iOS 16 or above
• Spotify app version 8.8.26 or above

Add the Spotify widget

1. Touch and hold the lock screen.
2. Tap Customize, then select Lock Screen.
3. Tap Add Widgets.
4. Select the Spotify widget.
5. Tap the close button, then Done.

Widget grayed out?

If the widget is grayed out, try these steps:

• Log out of the Spotify app, then log back in
• Check that 'Devices Lock Screen' is turned on in Spotify settings
• Turn on lock screen notifications in your device settings
• Update the Spotify app and your device’s operating system
• Restart your device

Still not working?

Remove and re-add the widget, then restart your device again.
