Source of streams
The source of streams graph shows where on Spotify your listeners play your audio tracks and music videos.
You can find source of streams on the Audience, Song, or Release overview pages. Select Segmentation > Source of Streams to view the breakdown.
You can filter further by any compatible time period, country and metric: streams, listeners, or streams per listener.
Sources are divided into active and programmed:
- Active sources are places where listeners stream your music after intentionally seeking it out. Active sources include:
- Artist profile and catalog: When listeners stream your music from your artist profile, album pages, or your "This is…" playlist.
- Listener's own playlists and library: When listeners stream your music from their Liked Songs, saved albums, or their own playlists.
- Listener's queue: When listeners stream your music after selecting Add to queue.
- Programmed sources are places where listeners stream your music because Spotify or another listener selects it for them. Programmed sources include:
- Editorial and personalized editorial playlists: When listeners stream your music on playlists curated by Spotify editors and personalized editorial playlists, including charts.
- Personalized playlists, autoplay, and mixes: When listeners stream your music on algorithmically generated playlists or mixes, including Discover Weekly, Release Radar, Radio, Autoplay, Daily Mix, daylist, and AI DJ.
- Other listeners' playlists: When listeners stream your music from a playlist created by another Spotify user.
Note: When viewing by “listeners”, the subtotals from each source may add up to more than your total listener count. This is because listeners can stream your music from multiple sources.
Note: Stats in Spotify for Artists are recorded in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). You can't change the time zone. Learn more about time zones
