Time zone for stats in Spotify for Artists
We define a day using Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
A streaming day runs from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM UTC, no matter which country the stream happens in.
This keeps reporting consistent across time zones.
Why stats may not match your local date
We use UTC, so the timeline and filters in your Spotify for Artists stats might not match your local date or time.
For example:
- A stream at 8pm PST on January 31 in California would count towards February 1's stream count. At that time it would already be February 1 in UTC.
- A stream at 4am JST on February 1 in Japan would count towards January 31's stream count. At that time it would still be January 31 in UTC.
It’s not possible to change the time zone of your Spotify for Artists stats.
