Publishing playlists to your profile

You can choose which playlists are shown on your profile.

For playlists that don’t display on your profile, note that:

  • If you share them, recipients can play, follow, and share them to others.
  • Playlist followers can display them on their profiles.
  • If the playlist is collaborative, any recipient can edit the playlist.

Pick your device for how to add or remove playlists on your profile.

    1. Tap 3 horizontal dots (iOS) / 3 vertical dots (Android) at the top of the playlist.
    2. Select Add to profile or Remove from profile.
    1. Right-click the playlist or click 3 horizontal dots inside the playlist.
    2. Select Add to profile or Remove from profile.

Hide new playlists from your profile by default

Only public playlists are published to your Spotify profile, and all new playlists are published by default.

Pick your device for how to change this preference.

    1. Tap your profile picture at the top.
    2. Tap Settings and privacy Settings.
    3. Tap Privacy and social.
    4. Under Playlist visibility, toggle Public playlists on Toggle switched on, or off Toggle switched off.
    1. Click your profile picture at the top, and select Settings.
    2. Under Social, toggle Publish my new playlists on my profile on Toggle switched on, or off Toggle switched off.

Tip: You can also switch on/off Playlists appear on your profile under your Privacy and social controls on mobile.

Share a private playlist

For: Mobile

Follow these steps to share your private playlists with your friends:

  1. Tap 3 horizontal dots (iOS) / 3 vertical dots (Android) at the top of the playlist.
  2. Choose Share. You can share:
  • To social or messaging apps
  • By copying a link

Note: Friends can use each shared link for 7 days.
