Artist details
The Artist Details section appears on your artist profile and gives listeners more context about your career and activity on Spotify. The information shown is pulled directly from Spotify's own platform data, not from external sources. This section is currently in beta testing.
What information may appear
Depending on your activity on Spotify, your Artist Details section may include:
- Release history: The year of your earliest release (album, EP, single, or remix) in Spotify's catalog or the year your music was first added to Spotify, along with your total number of releases globally. Release counts reflect your full global catalog and exclude compilations.
- Editorial playlist placements: Spotify editorial playlists (curated by Spotify's editors) that have featured your music in the past year. We feature up to three playlists based on daily active listeners, and this does not include algorithmic playlists.
- Concert history: Recent, completed concert dates and venues you've performed at, based on concerts listed on Spotify since 2025. We feature up to three venues, based on number of concerts listed on Spotify for those venues.
- Registered in Spotify for Artists: Whether you have a claimed profile in Spotify for Artists.
Not all artists will have every detail; information only appears when we have on-platform data available. These details will be refreshed on a regular cadence, to ensure the information is accurate and relevant.
If something looks incorrect
If you believe a detail about your release history shown on your profile is inaccurate, the first step is to review the metadata associated with your releases and profile. In most cases, an error in the displayed information reflects an issue with the underlying metadata that was shared with Spotify via your distributor or label. Similarly, concert data is pulled in via connected third party sources and should be verified via the linked concerts platform. Updating those details at the source is the most reliable way to ensure your profile reflects accurate information.
