• Download music to listen offline

  Download songs, albums, and playlists to your device for offline listening. You can also download to other devices right from your mobile. A maximum of 10,000 tracks can be downloaded across up to 5 devices.

  1. Make sure you’re online.
  2. Open the playlist you want to download.
  3. Tap to download to Your Library.

  Note: To download a song, just add it to a playlist and download the playlist, that way you can enjoy it offline anytime.

  Offline Backup

  If you forgot to download ahead of time, you can still listen offline with your Offline Backup. This mix includes your recent listens, queued tracks, and more, all set for offline play. No downloads needed.

  1. Make sure Offline listening is switched on.
  2. Tap when you're offline. Or search for Offline Backup.
  3. Tap , and start playing.

• Play songs in any order

  Enjoy Spotify your way on every device with unlimited skips and full control over what plays next. Play your favorites anytime, in any order. Premium gives you total control.

• Stream in lossless audio

  Experience your music in greater detail with lossless streaming.

  Premium users can now listen in up to 24-bit/44.1 kHz FLAC, offering a richer and more precise sound across most of the Spotify catalog.

  By default, the app adjusts your audio quality to play music without stuttering.

  1. On mobile, tap your profile picture at the top.
  2. Tap Settings and privacy.
  3. Under Audio Quality (iOS) / Media Quality (Android), select your preferred settings.

  Tip: Set different streaming quality for listening online with WiFi or cellular, and choose your preferred download quality.

  Lossless audio is available on mobile, desktop, and tablet apps, as well as on compatible Spotify Connect devices. Wi-Fi or strong data connections are recommended for the best performance.

• Watch music videos uninterrupted

  Watch music videos without any interruptions and get even closer to your favorite artists. Browse thousands of videos across all genres, with more on the way. You can seamlessly switch between audio and video without missing a beat, with playback continuing from the closest matching timestamp.

  While playing the song:

  1. Tap Switch to video above the song title in the Now Playing view.
     You can switch your view to landscape for a full screen video.
  2. Tap Switch to audio to go back to the audio view.

• Mix your favorite playlists

  Create smoother, more seamless listening experiences by adding transitions between tracks in your playlists.

  To try it out, open a playlist you've already created and tap Mix. Choose Auto for instant transitions, or customize how songs flow using different styles and intensity levels.

• Discover and listen to Audiobooks

  Eligible subscribers can explore thousands of audiobook titles from our subscriber catalogue as part of their Premium plan.

  Eligible Premium plans include a monthly allocation of audiobook listening hours. If you’ve used up your included time or want more, you can subscribe to an Audiobooks+ add-on or purchase a one-time top-up.

  Note: Audiobook listening hours are only included with Premium Individual and Family/Duo plans (for the plan managers only). Plan Members can get access to the audiobooks subscriber catalogue with the Audiobooks+ add-on.

• Host a Jam

  Start a Jam session and invite friends to join in real time. Friends who join a Jam can listen together and add songs to the queue, sharing control of what's playing whether you're in the same room or tuning in remotely.

  1. On mobile, Tap from the device you’re playing on, or tap from your favorite public playlist.
  2. Tap Start a Jam.
  3. Tap Invite. Here you can share a QR code, or tap Share link and send it to your friends. You can also bring your phones close together (by up to 1m) to get them to join the Jam if you’re logged in to Spotify and your Bluetooth is turned on.

  You can start a Jam from your desktop, mobile, or TV.

• Listen to your very own DJ

  Spinning tracks selected just for you, DJ (Beta) can play your current go-to’s, mixed with new discoveries.

  1. Tap Search .
  2. Select Made For You.
  3. Tap DJ, and start listening.

  DJ also takes requests. Just press and hold the DJ button to talk to DJ.

• Take your music to your DJ set

  Connect your Spotify Premium account to DJ software (rekordbox, Serato, or djay) and access your entire library, from Spotify's editorial playlists to your own. With millions of songs at your fingertips, curating your set has never been easier.

  Premium subscribers get access to workouts by Peloton, uninterrupted by ads. Browse thousands of workouts across different categories like strength, yoga, and pilates.
