Customizing your display campaign
Display campaigns offer a variety of customizations to tailor your campaign to your music.
Formats
You can customize how your campaign looks to listeners by selecting one of two formats: Marquee or Showcase.
Format | Marquee | Showcase |
|---|---|---|
What is it? | A full-screen pop-up on the Spotify mobile app | A banner on Spotify’s Home |
What's it for? | New releases only | New and catalog releases |
When can you use it? | Within 21 days of release | Anytime |
How long does it run? | 10 days after your campaign starts or until you spend your budget, whichever comes first | 14 days after your campaign starts or until you spend your budget, whichever comes first |
Additional customizations
Each format offers additional customization options.
Headlines
With the Showcase format, you can choose from a selection of headlines to tell listeners why your promoted release is relevant to them.
You can’t edit your campaign’s headline with Marquee.
Color picker
With the Marquee format, you can choose your campaign’s background color. We provide a selection of colors to choose from.
You can’t edit how Showcase looks - we pick the background color based on the cover art.
Destinations
The destination is where you send listeners when they tap your campaign. By default, this is the single, album, or EP page you’re promoting.
With the Marquee format, you can choose to send listeners to your This Is playlist.
Things to keep in mind with This Is playlist destinations:
- You need an eligible This Is playlist
- We’ll pin your single to the top of the playlist (if it isn’t already)
- Your campaign can start as soon as 3 days after your single’s release date
- This destination is only available for campaigns created in Spotify for Artists
- You can use the playlist as the destination for multiple singles as long as the campaign dates don’t overlap
Note: If you're promoting the same single in multiple campaigns, your campaign dates can overlap.
