How to change your payment details

To add or change your payment details for Spotify:

1. Go to Payment methods.
2. Select Add to enter a new payment method, or Change to edit an existing one.
3. Select Add/Change payment method to confirm.

Note: When you add a payment method, you may see an authorization charge for a small amount appear on your account. This authorization charge allows us to verify the validity of your payment method. It’s only a temporary hold and will disappear within a short time.

Payments through a partner

If your plan is with a partner company (ex. your phone or internet provider), they manage your payments. You’ll need to speak to them about anything payment related.

To check who your provider is, or to reach out to them directly:

1. Go to Manage your subscription.
2. Check the contact link under Payment.

To change your payment details:

1. Go to your partner’s website to cancel your current Premium plan.
   Tip: Find their details on your account page.
2. When your Spotify account switches to free, sign up to any Premium plan.

Saved payment methods

You can save and manage your payment methods for future purchases.

• Add a payment card

  To save the details for a card:

  1. Go to Payment methods.
  2. Select Add.
  3. Enter the card details and select Save card for future orders.
  4. Select Add payment method to confirm.

• Remove a payment card

  To remove the details of a saved card:

  1. Go to Payment methods.
  2. Select Saved payment methods.
  3. Select Remove next to the card you want to remove.
  4. Select Remove to confirm.

• Issues adding a payment card

  If you’re experiencing issues when entering card details:

  • Make sure your bank has the right information, and that your personal details are up to date and correct
  • Contact your bank for assistance

  Note: You won’t be charged until your bank has verified your identity.
