Understanding Engagement analytics
Engagement analytics help you understand how people interact with your show on Spotify.
Your Engagement analytics only show people who engage and listen to or watch your show on Spotify.
You have the option to export each section of data as CSV files.

Viewing show engagement analytics
To view show-level engagement analytics:
- Log in to creators.spotify.com
- Go to Analytics.
- Select Engagement.
Key engagement stats
You’ll find your top engagement stats under the Key engagement stats section.
- Consumption time: The total amount of time people spent watching or listening to episodes of this show on Spotify during the selected time period.
- Average consumption time: The average amount of time people spent watching or listening to episodes of this show on Spotify during the selected time period.
- Comments: The number of comments on your show’s episodes for the selected date range. You won’t see any Comments available if you’ve disabled them on your show.
- Followers: The number of people that have followed your show for the selected date range. You can't see a per-episode breakdown for Followers.
You can switch between each stat to see change over time, in addition to your top episodes ranked by the stat you’ve chosen.
Episode completions
Your episode complete rates chart will show the Completion rate for each of your most recent episodes in their first 7 days after publishing.
You’ll see an average line across all recent episodes and a comparison of your episodes with each other.
Week-over-week retention
Your week-over-week retention rates detail how much of your audience is returning week-to-week. You’ll find your Returning audience number in addition to your Retention rate in the chart given.
Data refresh
Most analytics update every 15 minutes, but some metrics may take up to 48 hours to refresh in Spotify for Creators.
