Editing a title published with Audiobook Creation Tools

After publishing your audiobook, you can update parts of your project and create a new version.

What you can edit

After publishing, you can:

  • Change the digital voice
  • Update pronunciations
  • Edit metadata, including title details, contributors, and copyright information
  • Deactivate your audiobook on Spotify

What you can’t edit

You can’t replace the EPUB file after publishing.

If your manuscript changes and you want to update the audiobook, create a new audiobook project with the updated EPUB file.

Creating a new version

If you change the digital voice or update pronunciations, you need to create a new version of your audiobook for those changes to appear on Spotify.

Each audiobook project allows up to 4 generations, including generations made after publishing.

Audiobook creation runs in the background, and your updated version is automatically published when processing is complete.

While your new version is processing

Your current audiobook stays live on Spotify until the updated version is published.

If you deactivate the current version, your audiobook remains unavailable until the updated version is ready.
