App and web troubleshooting

If you're having trouble with the Spotify for Creators mobile app or the web version of Spotify for Creators, try these tips.

Mobile app issues

• Close and restart the app
• Reinstall the app to check you're on the latest version. You can find a guide to reinstalling below
• Close any other apps you aren't using
• Ensure you have a stable and active internet connection
• Switch off your device’s WiFi connection, wait 30 seconds, then switch it back on
• Connect to a different network, if possible
• Restart your router, if possible
• Restart your device
• Update your device's operating system

Reinstalling the app

A clean reinstall of the Spotify for Creators mobile app often fixes common technical issues.

• iOS

  1. Go to your device's Settings, then tap General.
  2. Tap iPhone Storage (or iPad Storage on your iPad), then select Spotify for Creators from the list of apps.
  3. Tap Delete App and confirm.
  4. Once the app is deleted, press and hold your device’s lock button and either volume button at the same time until the power off slider appears.
  5. Drag the slider to completely turn off your device, then wait a few minutes.
  6. Press and hold the lock button again until the display turns on.
  7. Switch your device back on and install Spotify for Creators from the App Store.

• Android

  1. Go to your phone’s Settings.
  2. Select Apps.
  3. Select Spotify for Creators from the list of apps.
  4. Tap Storage / Storage & cache memory.
  5. Find and tap Clear storage and Clear cache.
  6. Return to the previous screen and tap Uninstall.
  7. Restart your device.
  8. Go to Google Play and install the Spotify for Creators app.

Spotify for Creators website issues

• Make sure you're on the latest version of your browser by checking your browser settings
• Open Spotify for Creators in a private or incognito window. You can typically do this from your browser's tabs or menu buttons (often represented by 3 dots or bars). Check your browser's help center for exact steps
• Open Spotify for Creators in a different browser
• Clear your browser's cache and cookies
