How comments are moderated
We use automated tools that rely on a combination of signals to detect content that may violate our Platform Rules.
Learn more about our Platform Rules
Comments that are detected as potentially harmful or inappropriate are marked as sensitive. Sensitive comments aren’t automatically published to your episode or video. Instead, they’re held for you to review.
Comments that aren’t flagged as sensitive or violative and don’t contain words on your block list are auto-published. You can delete comments at any time
At this time, auto-publishing is only available for English comments. We hope to expand to other languages in future.
Choosing your moderation level
While we work to enforce against content that potentially violates Spotify’s Platform Rules, you can also choose the level of sensitive but non-violating content you wish to see on your episodes and videos.
You can choose:
- Low: All comments are automatically published to your episode or video.
- Standard (default): Potentially harmful or inappropriate comments are held for you to review. All other comments are automatically published to your episode or video.
- High: All comments are held for you to review. No comments are automatically published to your episode or video.
