Discovery Mode contexts

Discovery Mode helps get your music heard in certain personalized playlists on Spotify.

You can tell it’s a personalized playlist because of the byline Made for [username] at the top of the playlist in the Spotify app or web player.

Discovery Mode is active in a subset of personalized playlists where listeners are most open to discovery.

We refer to any personalized playlists where Discovery Mode is active as Discovery Mode contexts.

Discovery Mode contexts currently include:

• Spotify Radio
• Autoplay
• Spotify Mixes: Daily, Artist, Mood, Decade, and Genre Mixes

You'll only be charged a commission on streams of your selected songs in Discovery Mode contexts during the campaign period.

All other streams of the same songs in other areas of the platform are commission-free.
