Your Spotify username and display name
Your username
Your username is designed to identify you on Spotify, so you can’t change it.
You don’t need your username to log in. Instead, use your email address and password, or log in with the method you used to sign up (ex. Facebook, Apple, or your phone number).
Your display name
A display name replaces the username where it shows on your profile, app, and playlists.
Note: You can’t use your display name to log in.
Change your display name
Note: You can also connect to Facebook to display your Facebook name. If you add a Spotify display name, that will show instead of your Facebook name.
