Ads analytics

See how your ads are performing in your episodes using Ads analytics on Spotify for Podcasters.

On web:

  1. Go to your Analytics tab on the web version of Spotify for Podcasters.
  2. Click the Ads tab.
    Note: This tab only appears if you’ve activated Automated Ads, Ambassador Ads, or both.

On mobile:

  1. Tap your Analytics tab in the Spotify for Podcasters app.
  2. Tap the Ads tab.
    Note: This tab only appears if you’ve activated Automated Ads, Ambassador Ads, or both.

You can see data on:

  • Ad impressions: An impression is counted each time an Automated Ad or Ambassador Ad plays in one of your episodes. Data is available from January 4, 2022.
  • Estimated earnings: An estimate of the amount of money you’ve earned based on the number of ad impressions you’ve accrued. It may not represent your actual payout via Stripe or Spotify Payouts.

It can take up to 2 days for daily data to update on both of these graphs.


You may note that both your impressions and earnings fluctuate over time. This can be due to a number of factors.

If you use Ambassador Ads, it’s worth noting your ad will play if your campaign has been recorded, is active, and has remaining impressions. There are limits to how many impressions you can receive with Ambassador Ads, and therefore you may notice that no more impressions and earnings appear once that limit has been reached.

For creators using Automated Ads, it’s worth noting these types of ads are programmatic, and only play when ad demand is available for your show. This demand is determined by the availability of advertisers and the demographic of listeners they're looking to target. As such, ad impressions aren’t guaranteed and may not play on every listen or for every listener.

If you run Ambassador Ads and Automated Ads at the same time, your earnings and impressions may vary between the two. For example, the order in which ads appear on any given episode will depend on if your episode is being played on Spotify or on a different listening platform. The number of ad slots you’ve included in your episode, along with listener drop-off, can also affect the amount of impressions and earnings you may earn at any given time.
