Understanding your Spotify Partner Program analytics
Spotify Partner Program earnings
Go to the Overview tab on the Monetize page to see your Spotify Partner Program earnings info.
Understanding your monthly snapshot
At the top of the Overview tab on the Monetize page, you can see your monthly snapshot with data related to your show’s performance from the last calendar month.
This snapshot updates within the first week of each calendar month with data for the previous month.
For example, around August 6th your monthly snapshot would update with data about your July performance.
Your snapshot summarizes your monthly earnings: the total amount you earned from the Spotify Partner Program in the last month. This includes all ad revenue and Premium video revenue.
Note: Your snapshot is subject to change month to month. Your last month’s earnings are calculated before any fees and taxes. For more info on your earnings from ad revenue on and off Spotify, read the section below on ads analytics.
Ads analytics
Go to the Analytics page and select Ads to see how your ads are performing in your episodes.
Note: This page only contains data related to your ad revenue and doesn't contain any info related to Premium video revenue.
You can see data on:
- Estimated ad impressions: The estimated number of times that ads are played in your episodes per day on and off Spotify. An impression is counted each time an ad plays in one of your episodes. Data is available from January 4, 2022.
- Estimated earnings: An estimate of the amount of money you’ve earned based on the number of ad impressions you’ve accrued. It may not represent your actual payout via Spotify Payouts.
It can take up to 2 days for daily data to update on both of these graphs.
Estimated ad impressions and earnings are not a guarantee of performance or how many listeners will hear ads on your show(s). These insights are only intended to be used as directional guidance.
Understanding your ads RPM
If you monetize with the Spotify Partner Program, ad revenue recognized by Spotify for any ads monetized by Spotify in your episodes as part of the program is split equally (50%) between Spotify and you.
In Spotify for Creators, we track your ads RPM, which stands for revenue per mille. This metric tracks how much you’ve earned per 1,000 ad impressions on average in the last 30 days, after the 50% revenue split.
This metric doesn't include any Premium video revenue. For more info on your Premium video revenue earnings, you need to look at your Spotify RPM.
Go to the Analytics tab and select Ads to see your ads RPM.
Note: Your ads RPM is subject to change. It represents how much you have earned on average for ads monetized by Spotify on your show. We calculate your ads RPM by dividing your estimated earnings by the number of those ad impressions that you received, then multiplying by 1,000. Your ads RPM is calculated before any fees and taxes.
Fluctuations in data
You may notice that both your impressions and earnings fluctuate over time.
This can be due to a number of factors.
It’s worth noting that these types of ads only play when ad demand is available for your show.
This demand is determined by the availability of advertisers and the demographic of listeners they're looking to target.
As such, ad impressions aren’t guaranteed and may not play on every listen or view.
