How to use polls
Post a poll to your episode to quickly gather feedback from your audience.
Creating a poll
On web:
- Go to Comments then Polls.
- Click + Add Poll next to the episode you'd like to add a poll to.
- Type your question and between 2 and 7 answers for listeners to pick from.
- Mark whether participants should be able to select multiple options.
- Set the dates your poll should appear and disappear from your episode.
- When you're ready, hit Publish poll.
On the mobile app:
- Tap Comments then Polls.
- Tap + then select an episode you want to add your poll to.
- Type your question and between 2 and 7 answers for listeners to pick from.
- Mark whether participants should be able to select multiple options.
- Set the dates your poll should appear and disappear from your episode.
- When you're ready, hit Create.
Your audience sees your poll on your episode page and in the Now Playing View on the Spotify mobile app.
It's only possible to run one poll per episode.
Checking your poll's results
Once your poll goes live, head to Comments to see its results.
While your poll is ongoing, listeners and viewers on the Spotify mobile app can see the vote counts after they've voted.
Editing or deleting your poll
You can add one poll per episode.
You can edit your poll if it hasn't received any votes:
- On web, head to your poll in Comments and click .
- On the mobile app, head to your poll, tap the 3 dots, then Edit Poll.
If you have had a vote, you’ll need to delete the poll, then create a new one:
- On web, head to your poll in Comments and click .
- On the mobile app, head to your poll, tap the 3 dots, then Delete Poll.
Getting your audience to engage with your poll
Here are some tips to get more of your audience engaging with your poll:
- Promote your poll and share the results across your social media channels.
- Call out your poll in the intro or outro of your episode.
- Announce the final results of your poll so your audience feels seen when they interact.
