Spotify for Artists Preview gives artists and their teams an opportunity to experience tools before they launch to listeners.

Previewing About The Song

The first feature available through Spotify for Artists Preview is About the Song. It shows short, third-party stories about a track, like how it was made, who worked on it, or what inspired it. These appear in the Now Playing view.

You’ll see About the Song in the Spotify mobile app if:

• You’re an Admin or Editor in Spotify for Artists.
• You have access to an artist profile with at least 1,000 monthly active listeners.
• Your Spotify account is registered in one of the supported countries or regions.
• You are using the Spotify mobile app to version 9.1.6 or higher. You may need to force quit and reopen the app to refresh it.

Sharing feedback on About the Song

To review your About the Song stories:

• Open your song in the Spotify app on mobile
• Scroll down in the Now Playing view
• Use the 👍 / 👎 icons and complete the short feedback form

Note: Some artists invited to Spotify for Artists Preview may not see About the Song on every track. About the Song appears once a track reaches a minimum number of streams and there’s enough reliable third-party information available online.
