Cancel Premium plans
Cancel your Premium plan any time on your account page.
- Go to your account page.
- Under Manage your plan, click Change plan.
- Scroll to Cancel Spotify, and click Cancel Premium.
Your Premium stays until your next billing date, then your account switches to free.
You keep your playlists and saved music when your account is free. You can also still log in and play with ads.
Want to cancel your Spotify Family or Duo plan?
If you’re a plan manager, follow the steps above to cancel your plan. Make sure you let all plan members know as they’ll lose their Premium benefits starting from the next payment date.
If you’re a plan member, following the steps above will remove your account from the plan, but won’t cancel it. Reach out to the plan manager to cancel or update the payment method.
Check out our guide if you want to switch Premium plans instead.
No option to change plan?
This means your plan is associated with a partner company (ex. your mobile or internet provider). To cancel, find their contact link on your account page:
- Go to your account page.
- Under Manage your plan, check Payment.
Account on Spotify free?
This means there's no Premium plan to cancel, and there’s no payment info on the account.
If you're being charged, you likely have Premium on a different Spotify account. Try logging out and back in with different details.

Note: You can also cancel by completing this form and sending it to Spotify.
