Can’t log in to Spotify for Authors

You need a Spotify account to log in to Spotify for Authors.

Seeing "You don’t have access"?

If you've never had access to Spotify for Authors:

  • Publishers: You need to be invited to your publisher's team. Ask your publisher's Spotify for Authors admin to invite you.
  • Authors: You need to be invited by your publisher. Ask your publisher for an invite.

If you've previously had access to Spotify for Authors, it’s possible you’re logging in to a different Spotify account.

Try using other email addresses that you may have created an account with. When you go to password reset and enter an email that's registered with a Spotify account, you get the message that the password reset email was sent.

Tip: Your Spotify for Authors account may be under the email address where you received your invite. Search your different email inboxes for the invite from author-invite@spotify.com.

Don't remember your login info?

If you don't remember your password, use password reset.

If you don't remember your email or username, go to password reset and enter possible email addresses you own. When you enter an email that's registered with Spotify, you get the message that the password reset email was sent.

Note: There are a few ways to sign up, e.g. with email, phone number, Facebook, Apple, or Google. Try logging in with these to find your account.

Lost access to your account?

If you can’t recover access to the Spotify account you use for Spotify for Authors, you’ll need to create a new account.

Publishers: Ask your team admin to invite your new account. If you were the only admin, contact us.
