How your streams are counted
You can find stream counts on the Music tab in Spotify for Artists.
- Song stream: Counted when a listener plays your song for at least 30 seconds
- Video stream: Counted when a listener plays your music video for at least 30 seconds
- Release stream count: The total number of song streams for all tracks on the release
Note: If a song is on multiple releases, its streams count toward each release's total - All-time streams: The total number of streams your song or release has received on Spotify, including music video streams. A stream is counted when the song or video is played for at least 30 seconds
- All-time video streams: The total number of streams your music video has received on Spotify. A video stream is counted when the video is played for at least 30 seconds
- Streams from downloaded music: We count streams when the listener goes online (which they must do at least once every 30 days)
Your total stream counts in Spotify for Artists include songs where you’re credited as a main artist or remixer.
Note: Stats in Spotify for Artists are recorded in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). You can't change the time zone. Learn more about time zones
