Spotify and Facebook

Connecting Spotify to your Facebook account is the best way to share and discover new music with friends. You can:

And if you need some alone time to listen to some guilty pleasures, you can activate a Private Session.

Facebook on your Spotify player

As long as your Spotify account is connected to Facebook, all your Facebook friends appear on your Spotify player. So you can share music in seconds. Go to the left hand tool bar and click ‘People’ to find your friends.

How to connect your Spotify account to Facebook

  1. Click Spotify in the menu bar.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Scroll down and click CONNECT TO FACEBOOK.
Share buttons You’ll see these by tracks, playlists and on the cover art. Just click on the Share buttons to post music to Facebook, Twitter or Messenger, or send to friends.

Private session If you don’t want your friends to see what you’re listening to, just activate a Private Session.

  1. Click on the drop-down arrow in the top right hand corner of the Spotify player.
  2. Click Private Session.
  3. You’ll need to reactivate when you restart Spotify or after a long period of inactivity.
