Discovery Mode campaign upload errors

When you upload your Discovery Mode song selections, you might see an error about your CSV file. Here’s what those messages mean and how to fix them.

Invalid track URI

Each track on Spotify has a unique URI. If a track URI in your file is incorrect, update it and upload your CSV again — or delete the row.

To find a track URI on the Spotify desktop app or web player:

  1. Go to the track.
  2. Click the 3 dots or right-click the track name.
  3. Select Share.
  4. Hold down Alt (Windows) / Option (Mac).
  5. Select Copy Spotify URI.

Note: You can't get URIs in the mobile app.

Invalid artist URI

Each artist on Spotify has a unique URI. If an artist URI in your file is incorrect, update it and upload your CSV again — or delete the row.

To find an artist URI on the Spotify desktop app or web player:

  1. Go to the artist profile.
  2. Click the 3 dots or right-click the artist name.
  3. Select Share.
  4. Hold down Alt (Windows) / Option (Mac).
  5. Select Copy Spotify URI.

Note: You can't get URIs in the mobile app.

Licensor mismatch

The licensor listed in your file doesn't match what we have on record for this song. If you think this is incorrect, contact your account manager.

Not eligible

Songs need to meet certain criteria to be eligible for Discovery Mode. If a song isn’t eligible, delete the row in your CSV and continue without it.

Incomplete field

Make sure each song has both a track URI and an artist URI.
