Make playlists private

For your eyes (and ears) only! 

You can make your personal playlists public so that anyone on Spotify can search for and listen to them. Or you can make them private.

Desktop

To automatically set all new playlists to private:

  1. Click  in the top-right corner and select Settings
  2. Scroll down to Social and toggle off Automatically make new playlists public

To manually make a playlist public or private:

Right-click the playlist and select Make Public or Make Secret

iPhone

To automatically set all new playlists to private, select the appropriate setting on your desktop app (see desktop instructions). 

To manually make a playlist public or private:

Tap  in the top-right corner of the playlist and select Make Public or Make Secret

iPad
