Managing your artist images on Spotify

For: Admins and Editors

Update your avatar, header, and image gallery in Spotify for Artists.

Image type

Where it appears on Spotify

Avatar image

  • At the top of your artist profile on the mobile app
  • In search results next to your artist name
    Note: If you haven't added an avatar, we show your most recent release's artwork in both these places instead

Header image

  • At the top of your artist profile on the desktop app and web player
  • In the Now Playing View on smart TVs
    Note:     If you haven't added a header image, we show your avatar in both these places instead

Image gallery

  • In your About section
    Note:     If you haven't added any photos to your image gallery, we show your avatar here instead

Updating your avatar image

Desktop

  1. Log in to artists.spotify.com.
  2. Click View profile (beneath your artist name).
  3. Click Edit (above your Monthly Listener count).
  4. Under Avatar image, click Update.

Note: You can't update your avatar on a mobile web browser. Use the Spotify for Artists mobile app instead.

Mobile app

  1. Tap Profile tab Profile.
  2. Tap Edit Image.

Your search image can take up to 72 hours to update.

If it doesn't, restart the Spotify app a few times — it could be a caching issue.

Note: You can’t remove your avatar image completely.

Updating your header image

  1. Log in to artists.spotify.com.
  2. Click View profile (beneath your artist name).
  3. Click Edit (above your Monthly Listener count).
  4. Under Header image, click Update.

Note: You can't update your header on a mobile web browser or on the Spotify for Artists mobile app.

If you remove your header image, we show your avatar instead.

Updating your image gallery

Add, remove, or reorder images in your gallery. You can include up to 125 images.

Web browser

  1. Log in to artists.spotify.com.
  2. Click View profile (on a mobile device, tap Icon to open the menu first).
  3. Click About.
  4. Click + Add an image gallery or Edit next to Image gallery.

Mobile app

  1. Tap Profile tab Profile.
  2. Scroll down to About.
  3. Tap Add or EDIT.
