Listening Activity

For: Mobile

View, play, and react to the tracks your friends in chat are listening to.

Friends need to turn on their listening activity to share their session to people they have active chats with on Messages.

View your friend’s listening activity

1. Tap your profile picture at the top.
2. Scroll down to Messages. Your friend’s currently playing or last played song appears under their name if they’ve enabled their own listening activity.
3. From there, you can tap the track to:
   • Play the song
   • Add it to Your Library
   • Send a reaction

Show your listening activity

Your listening activity is turned off by default.

To show or hide your listening activity:

1. Tap your profile picture at the top.
2. Tap Settings and privacy .
3. Tap Privacy and social.
4. Turn Listening activity on , or off .
5. To manage which friends you want to share your activity to, select Who can view your activity.

Notes:

• If Private session is on, your listening activity is automatically disabled for 6 hours.
• Even if your own listening activity is turned off, you can still view the activity of your friends as long as they have their listening activity enabled.
