Voice control your tunes with Amazon Alexa.

Note: You need a Premium account to listen to Spotify with Alexa.

Get started 

Link Spotify to Alexa and make Spotify the default music player. Select an app below to find out how.

  1. Open the Amazon Alexa mobile app.
  2. Select Settings, then Music & Media.
  3. Choose default music services.
  4. Under Default music library, tap the pull-down and choose Spotify. Your Spotify account is linked to Alexa.
  5. Ask Alexa to play something ("Alexa, play Spotify").
    Note: Alexa now automatically uses Spotify as the default music player, so there’s no need to specify “on Spotify” with your voice commands.
  1. Sign into the Alexa web app.
  2. Click Music, Video, & Books.
  3. Choose Spotify and click Link your account. You’re directed to log in to Spotify.
  4. Enter your login credentials. Your Spotify account is linked to Alexa.
  5. Ask Alexa to play something ("Alexa, play Spotify").
    Note: Alexa now automatically uses Spotify as the default music player, so there’s no need to specify “on Spotify” with your voice commands.
