Invite or remove Family plan members

The plan manager can invite or remove members on their Family page.

  1. Go to Manage members.
  2. Create an invitation using the available options, or copy and send someone the invitation link. Note: They need to accept the invite and follow the steps in order to join the plan. The plan manager will receive a confirmation message when they join.

To remove a member from the plan:

  1. Select their account under Plan members.
  2. Then, select Invite to free up a slot in the plan and invite someone else to it.
  3. Select Remove & invite to confirm.

Invited members get a link to join, where they need to:

  • Log in to their own Spotify account (or create one if they don’t have one)
  • Confirm their full address

Notes:

  • Plan members can only switch plans once every 12 months.
  • If the manager and member are using the same device, make sure the plan manager logs out before anyone opens an invite link. The member needs to be logged into their own account to accept, and follow the steps to join the plan.
  • You can't join the plan if you’re already a Duo or Family plan manager yourself.

Invite opening on the wrong account?

If you’re using the same device, make sure the plan manager logs out before anyone opens an invite link.

Invited members need to log in to their own Spotify account (or create one if they don’t have one).

Link expired?

Try opening the link in an incognito/private window of your web browser.

If that doesn’t work, ask the plan’s manager to send you a new invite.
