Spotify uses your device memory to:
- Store parts of music and podcasts as cache, so it can play without lagging
- Store downloaded music and podcasts to play offline
We recommend having at least 1GB of free memory on your device for Spotify.
Manage memory usage
To free up space or fix common issues, you can clear your cache or manage where your downloads are stored.
Note: Clearing the cache removes all Spotify downloads from the device.
