Follow your friends and manage followers

Follow friends to see what they’re listening to in Friend Activity or manage who can follow you.

Find users to follow

Search for a user’s name and select the user you wish to follow. Tap or click Follow on their profile to connect with them.

When searching, choose Profiles from the filters below the search bar to see only users’ profiles.
Note: On mobile, after typing in Search, tap enter to show filters.

Or, ask your friends to share a link to their profile with you.

See and manage your followers

• Mobile and tablet

  To see who’s following you:

  1. Tap your profile picture.
  2. Tap View profile.
  3. Under your profile name, tap followers.
     

  To manage your followers:

  1. Tap (iOS) / (Android) next to each follower.
  2. Select Remove follower to remove them from your list.
     Note: They can follow you back again.
  3. OR Select Block to permanently remove and block them.

• Desktop

  To see who’s following you:

  1. Click your profile picture at the top and select Profile.
  2. Under your profile name, click Followers.

  To manage your followers, right-click on any of them to follow or block them.

Block and unblock users

You can block other people from viewing your activity on Spotify.

When you block someone, they:

• Can’t follow you or your playlists
• Can’t see your profile or listening activity

Pick your device for how to block or unblock someone:

• Mobile and tablet

  1. Go to their profile and tap  (iOS) /  (Android).
  2. Tap to block or unblock.

  You can also view a list of users you’ve blocked in your settings:

  1. Tap your profile picture at the top.
  2. Tap Settings and privacy .
  3. Tap Privacy and social.
  4. Under Profile visibility, tap Blocked users.

  To unblock someone, tap Unblock next to the user’s name.

• Desktop

  1. Go to their profile and click .
  2. Select Block or Unblock.

  Note: You can only remove followers or access the ‘blocked’ list from the mobile app.
