How we count streams
See your stream counts on the Music tab in Spotify for Artists.
- Song stream: Counted when someone listens for 30 seconds or more
- Video stream: Counted when someone streams the music video for 30 seconds or more
- Release stream count: All song streams from the release added up
Note: If a song appears on multiple releases, it counts towards the stream count on every release. - All-time streams: The total number of times your song or release has been streamed on Spotify. Music video streams (30 seconds or more) count towards the all-time streams for the associated song and any release the song is on
- All-time video streams: The total number of times your music video has been streamed on Spotify. A video stream is only counted when the video is streamed for 30 seconds or more
- Downloaded music: We count streams when the listener goes online (which must happen at least once every 30 days)
Your total streams in Spotify for Artists include songs where you’re credited as a main artist or remixer.
Note: We record and show stats in Spotify for Artists in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). It’s not possible to change the time zone of your Spotify for Artists stats. Learn more
