Getting access to Spotify for Authors

Self-published authors

You can get access to Spotify for Authors if you use Findaway Voices to distribute at least one audiobook to Spotify.

1. Log in to Findaway Voices
2. Look for a banner at the top of your dashboard inviting you to Spotify for Authors.
3. Click Get started.

You need your own Spotify account to get access to Spotify for Authors.

Don’t use Findaway Voices?

Spotify for Authors isn’t currently available to self-published authors who don’t use Findaway Voices.

Beginning August 1, 2025, all self-published authors will be able to sign up for Spotify for Authors and upload and distribute audiobooks to Spotify directly.

Authors who work with a publisher

Ask your publisher to invite you. You’ll receive the invitation via email.

Note: If you self-publish some titles and use a publisher for others, you’ll need to follow both sets of steps above to get access to your full catalog in Spotify for Authors.

Publishers

If you previously used Passport, we’ve migrated your account to Spotify for Authors.

Go to authors.spotify.com and log in to your Spotify account to get started.

If you see a message saying Spotify for Authors account not found, ask your publisher's Spotify for Authors admin to invite you to Spotify for Authors.

Didn’t use Passport?

You can use any Spotify account, but we recommend your Spotify account uses your business email address.
