PlayStation®

With the Spotify app, available on PlayStation™Music, you can listen to Spotify on your PS4™ or PS3™ console.

Tip: Use your PlayStation™Network wallet to get Premium! For more info, visit Premium plans with other companies.

Get started

On your PlayStation® console, go to the PlayStation™Music app and log in one of these 3 ways.

Tip: Don’t have a Spotify account? Just open the app on your console and select SIGN UP.

Use Spotify Connect to play from the app on your mobile, tablet, or desktop:  

  1. Make sure your device is connected to the same WiFi network as your PlayStation® console. Open Spotify.
  2. Play a song and tap Devices Available (mobile) or click  (desktop).
  3. Select your PlayStation® console from the device picker and start listening.

Note: If you usually log in to Spotify with Facebook, use Spotify Connect or log in with a pin instead.

PS4™  

  1. Open the Spotify app on your console.
  2. Select LOG IN.
  3. Select LOG IN WITH EMAIL OR USERNAME.
  4. Enter your Spotify email address and password, and select LOG IN.

PS3™

  1. Select LOG IN.
  2. Select OTHER WAYS TO LOG IN.
  3. Select Username & Password.
  4. Enter your username or email address and password, and select LOG IN.

For: PS4™ (not available on PS3™).

  1. Open the Spotify app on your PS4™.
  2. Select LOG IN.
  3. Select LOG IN WITH PIN.
  4. On your phone or computer, go to www.spotify.com/pair and enter the pin you see on your screen.

Link your accounts

When you log in to Spotify on PlayStation®, you can choose the option to LINK ACCOUNTS. This means you’re automatically logged into Spotify whenever you log into your PS4 ™ or PS3 ™ system, even if you are using a different console.

Get playing

Use your console controller to navigate the app, or use your phone to control the music remotely with Spotify Connect.

Listen while you game

For: Select PS4™ games (not available on PS3™, PlayStation® Now, or when using Remote Play).

When you play Spotify on your PS4™, it continues playing when you go to your game. If the game allows, you can disable in-game music for the best Spotify experience.

To control the music while you game:

  1. Long-press the PS button on your controller to bring up the quick menu.
  2. Select Spotify.
    Note: To display your Spotify music in the quick menu, you must allow access by PlayStation™Network. You’ll be prompted to do so when you first select Spotify in the quick menu.
  3. Here you can skip songs, play/pause, or adjust the volume.

Or, use Spotify Connect to use your phone to control the music remotely.

Tip: You can also share music while you game! Just select Share Music Information from the quick menu and choose from Now Playing, Recently Played, and Recently Saved.

Or, you can log out of the Spotify app on the PlayStation® console:

  1. Select the profile image in the top-right of the screen.
  2. Select Log out.

Note: The Sign Out Everywhere button on your Spotify account page will not sign you out of PlayStation®.

You can do this a few ways:

  1. Log into your own account on PlayStation™Network on their PS4™ or PS3™ console. If you’ve already linked that account to your Spotify profile, you’ll have instant access on any other PS4™ or PS3™ console you sign into.
  2. They can stay signed into their account on PlayStation™Network and you can access Spotify on PlayStation™Music by using Spotify Connect.
