Why can't I find the music I'm looking for?

We want all the world’s music and podcasts on Spotify, but availability can vary over time and between countries depending on permissions from rights holders—a person or business who owns or controls the rights to them.

When making their music or podcast available on Spotify, rights holders enter into an agreement with us. This is called licensing. Licensing agreements can change for all sorts of reasons and ownership rights can also change hands. This means a certain song, album, compilation, or podcast can be made available in one country but not another, or may be removed altogether.

The good news is: We add new music and podcasts to Spotify every day, so if you can’t find something you’re looking for right now, it may appear (or reappear) soon!
