Show removed or deleted
To keep Spotify safe, we take action on accounts that violate our Terms of Service, which includes our Community Guidelines, or the Spotify Platform Rules.
If your show is removed, we’ll send an email to the address associated with your account stating why it was removed.
Note that removing your show also means removing your account. If you think this was done in error, contact us to appeal the decision.
We can’t reinstate shows that violate our Terms of Service. You’re welcome to create a new account without the violating content, but bear in mind that any more policy violations may result in a platform ban.
Once your show has been removed, it may take up to 10 business days for it to come down from any external listening apps it was distributed to.
Your show may have been removed for one of the following reasons:
- Copyright infringement. By using Spotify’s services, you’re acknowledging that you’ll only publish content that you either (i) created or (ii) have the proper permission to use.
- Community Guidelines violation. It’s against our core values to promote content or opinions that may harm others or break the law. This includes hateful, dangerous, violent, graphic, or sexually explicit content. We also don’t tolerate harassment or bullying of any kind.
- Spam or monetization fraud. We remove accounts that are flagged for suspicious activity or misuse of our monetization services.
- Submitting music via Spotify for Creators. Spotify for Creators should not be used to distribute music tracks, DJ mixes, or similar musical content. Spotify for Creators reserves the right to remove shows that violate this policy, regardless of the licensing status of your music.
You can read our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines for more information about the policies.
