Audiobooks recaps

Recaps help listeners on Spotify catch up on the parts of an audiobook they’ve already heard, making it easier to re-engage with the story. If you’d like to opt out of Recaps, find the Opting out of Recaps section below for more information.

Recaps are currently available for select English-language audiobooks in the Spotify app. To learn more about Recaps, visit the Spotify for Authors blog.

Eligibility for Recaps

Starting December 13, 2025, audiobooks published through Spotify for Authors become eligible for Recaps.

Titles marked as eligible for Recaps in Spotify for Authors doesn’t guarantee availability of Recaps in the Spotify experience, and some eligible titles may not have Recaps as a result.

We'll expand Recaps to eligible titles at our discretion.
