How and when you get paid with Spotify Payouts

When you get paid

Your first payout

Before you are eligible for your first payout you will have to wait 30 days (onboarding period). After that 30 day waiting period is over you will be paid every calendar month, typically within the last two weeks of the month.

Your ongoing payouts

We typically process payouts during the last two working weeks of every month.

You’ll get a monthly payout of your current balance after deducting any fees and taxes, as long as that balance amounts to $10 or more. If your balance is less than $10, we’ll continue to accumulate your revenue until it reaches $10 or more. Once it does, you’ll receive your payout that month.

Your payout should appear in your bank account within 3 business days of the payout date. We’ll email you when your payout is on its way.

You can’t change your payment date. Payouts are automatically sent on a recurring basis each month.

Problems with payouts

We’ll send you an email notification and notify you through your Spotify Payouts dashboard if your payout fails.

Typically, a payout fails due to incorrect info, such as your name, address, tax requirements, or bank details. If your payout has failed, review your info. Once you update your info, we’ll try and process your payout again.

If you don’t receive your payout within 3 business days, there could be a delay on your bank’s side. Check that the info you provided us is correct, such as your name, address, social security number, and bank details.

If you haven’t heard from us and your payout hasn’t shown up in your bank account after 7 business days, let us know.

Spotify Payouts fees

The payout fee for using Spotify Payouts is $0.30.

Spotify Payouts balance

Please note that when you first start to earn money on Spotify for Authors, there may be a delay in funds being reflected in your earnings balance.

After that validation period, new transactions will be reflected in your balance within a few days.

Payment platforms

At the moment, you can only get paid through Spotify Payouts by linking a bank account.
