Spotify Kids

A playground of sound for young listeners, Spotify Kids is an app packed with singalongs, soundtracks, and playlists made just for them.

Spotify Kids lets your child:

  • Listen to audio they love with their own account.
  • Discover family-friendly music handpicked by our experts.
  • Play their favorite tracks offline and ad-free.
  • Select an avatar and color theme.

Note: Download it from the iOS App Store or Google Play

Get started

Spotify Kids requires a Premium Family subscription, a plan for up to 6 family members who live together. Check out Premium Family for information on how to sign up.

The Premium Family plan manager needs to log in to the Spotify Kids app with the same email address and password used for the Spotify app.

Usually log in with Facebook?

It’s not currently possible to log in with your Facebook details in the Kids app.

In the meantime, you need to create a Spotify password:

  1. Go to our password reset form
  2. Enter the email address registered to your Facebook account.
  3. Continue through the steps to create a password for the account.
Tip: If the password reset doesn’t work, get help here.

You can then log in to the Spotify Kids app with your Facebook email address and the password you created. You can still log in with Facebook in other places as usual.

Kids accounts can be created by the manager of a Premium Family plan. Each Kids account takes up 1 slot in the plan (out of a maximum of 6).

The first time you open Spotify Kids, you’re prompted to create a Kids account.

You can create more Kids accounts in the Spotify Kids app at any time following these steps:

  1. Tap the avatar in the top-left.
  2. Tap Parental settings.
  3. Enter your birth year.
Note: We don’t store this data in the app, we only use it to make sure you’re the plan manager.
  4. Tap Add a Kids account under KIDS ACCOUNTS.

During sign up, you can choose whether your child sees content for younger kids, or content for older kids. You can change these settings at any time from ‘parental settings’.

Manage Kids account settings

In Parental Settings in the Spotify Kids app, a Premium Family plan manager can:

  • Edit each child’s name and date of birth.
  • Choose which type of audio is most appropriate for each child.
  • Add and delete Kids accounts.

The Premium Family plan manager can control what a child hears in the Spotify Kids app:

  1. Tap the child’s avatar in the top-left.
  2. Tap Parental Settings.
  3. Enter your birth year.
Note: We don’t store this data in the app, we only use it to make sure you’re the plan manager.
  4. Tap EDIT next to the account you want to edit, and then CHANGE.
  5. Choose between:
    • Audio for older kids: Tracks and playlists, including some popular songs, appropriate for children of all ages.
    • Audio for younger kids: Singalongs and soundtracks chosen by our editors for younger listeners.

Kids accounts can be deleted by the manager of a Premium Family plan in the Spotify Kids app with these steps:

  1. Tap the child’s avatar in the top-left.
  2. Tap Parental Settings.
  3. Enter your birth year.
Note: We don’t store this data in the app, we only use it to make sure you’re the plan manager.
  4. Tap EDIT next to the account you want to delete.
  5. Tap DELETE.

You can also delete Kids accounts and remove other member accounts from the Premium Family page.

FAQ

We take children’s privacy very seriously. The name and age you enter for each Spotify Kids account is fully encrypted.

You can find more information in our Terms and Conditions.

We're still testing and building Spotify Kids, so we hope to add more features very soon!

Until then, we’re afraid it’s not possible to play your Favorites offline on Android just yet.
