Which models are supported?

Spotify requires the Tizen operating system (version 2.3 and above), available on Samsung Smart TVs produced from 2015 onwards.

To check if your Samsung TV supports Spotify:

  1. Go to Samsung’s app store.
  2. Select Spotify, under Lifestyle.
  3. Click Check your device in the top-right.

Get the app

  1. From your TV’s home screen, go to Samsung Apps.
  2. Search for Spotify. Install and launch it.

Tip: Don’t have a Spotify account? Just open the Spotify app on your Samsung TV and select SIGN UP to create one.

Use Spotify Connect to play from the app on your mobile, tablet, or desktop:

  1. Make sure your device is connected to the same WiFi network as your Samsung TV. Open Spotify.
  2. Play a song and tap Devices Available (mobile) or click  (desktop).
  3. Select your Samsung TV from the device picker and start listening.

You can now use your phone as a remote to control the music on your Samsung TV.

  1. Open the Spotify app on your Samsung TV.
  2. Select LOG IN.
  3. Select LOG IN WITH EMAIL OR USERNAME.
  4. Enter your Spotify email address and password.

Note: If you usually log in with Facebook, use Spotify Connect to log in instead (see the steps above).

  1. Open the Spotify app on your Samsung TV.
  2. Select LOG IN.
  3. Select LOG IN WITH PIN.
  4. On your phone or computer, go to www.spotify.com/pair and enter the pin you see on your screen.
