Marquee and Showcase billing and payments
Adding a payment method
For: Admins on web
Add a valid payment method to create campaigns:
- Go to artists.spotify.com/c/billing.
- Select the team you want to add a payment method for (if you’re in multiple teams).
- Add your payment card info.
Note: You can’t add a payment method if you’re in a market where Marquee and Showcase aren’t available.
Admins and Editors in your team can use this payment method to create a campaign.
You can only add 1 card per team.
Billing cycle
We charge your payment card each day you reach your billing threshold in your local billing currency.
Your billing threshold is based on your history of payment activity.
If your team is new to Marquee or Showcase, you’re charged more frequently and for smaller amounts.
As you build a successful payments history, you can expect to see a longer duration between charges to minimize the number of bills you receive.
Any leftover spend is charged on the first day of the following month.
You’re only charged for clicks, so your final spend may be lower than your budget.
Marquee campaigns run for 10 days and Showcase campaigns for 14 days — or until your budget is spent.
If your campaign has sub-campaigns, you receive a single invoice for all sub-campaigns.

Taxes and tax identification number
Managing your tax ID
In accordance with local regulations, a valid CPF or CNPJ and a valid address are required to run campaigns in Brazil regardless of the payment method.
You can update or correct your CPF or CNPJ on your billing page.
Validation
- Validation can take up to 24 hours
- You can only schedule campaigns after your tax ID has been successfully validated
- If your tax ID is invalid (for example, if it was entered incorrectly), you’ll see an error message and the opportunity to fix it
Editing or removing your tax ID
- You can edit or remove your tax ID at any time
- If you have active campaigns you can only make updates once your campaigns have ended
Understanding tax charges
Spotify works with an external provider to send tax and transaction information directly to the Brazilian government. The government will contact you if any taxes are owed on your transactions.
The prices displayed on the campaign screen include indirect taxes, if applicable.
Make sure your tax ID is accurate to avoid delays and ensure the right tax handling for your campaigns.
