Amazon Fire TV

With Spotify on Amazon Fire TV, you can browse and play millions of albums, songs, and playlists using your Fire TV remote or your phone.

Note: Compatible with Fire TVs on Fire OS 5.0.5 or newer. Check and update your Fire OS here. If you already have Spotify installed, you may need to re-install it after updating Fire OS.

Get started

  1. Download Spotify from your Fire TV app store.
  2. Log in one of these three ways to play.

Use Spotify Connect to play from the app on your mobile, tablet, or desktop:

  1. Make sure your device is connected to the same WiFi as your Fire TV. Open Spotify app.
  2. Play a song and tap Devices Available (mobile) or click  (desktop).
  3. Select your Fire TV from the device picker. You can now use your phone as a remote to control the music on your Amazon Fire TV.

Note: Amazon’s Explicit Filter isn’t compatible with Spotify Connect. To make use of this feature, log in with your Spotify email address or with a PIN (see below).

  1. Open the Spotify app on your Fire TV.
  2. Select LOG IN.
  4. Enter your Spotify email address and password.

Note: If you usually log in with Facebook, use Spotify Connect to log in instead (see the steps above).

  1. Open the Spotify app on your Fire TV.
  2. Select LOG IN.
  3. Select LOG IN WITH PIN.
  4. On your phone or computer, go to and enter the pin you see on your screen.
