Updating Spotify
Spotify gets better with every update. Here's how to make sure you get every one.
When an update is available, a blue dot appears next to the menu button in the top-right corner of the app.
- Click the menu button with the blue dot
.
- Select Update Available. Restart Now.
Tip: Reinstalling the app also guarantees you're on the latest version of Spotify.
Switch on automatic updates
- Go to your iPhone / iPad Settings.
- Tap iTunes & App Store.
- Switch App Updates on.
Update manually
- Open the App Store.
- Tap your Apple ID image in the top right corner.
- Find Spotify, and tap UPDATE.
Tip: If Spotify isn’t listed here, your app is on the latest version.
Switch on automatic updates
- Open the Google Play Store.
- Use the search bar to find Spotify.
- Tap the three vertical dots in the top right.
- Check Enable Auto-update.
Tip: You can switch on automatic updates for all your apps. Head to your Google Play Store’s Settings and tap Auto-update apps. Here you can choose to only automatically update when connected to WiFi to save your data.
Update manually
- Open the Google Play Store.
- Use the search bar to find Spotify.
- Tap UPDATE.
Tip: If no update option is visible, your app is on the latest version.
