Marquee and Showcase billing and payments

Adding a payment method

For: Admins on web

Add a valid payment method to create campaigns:

  1. Go to artists.spotify.com/c/billing.
  2. Select the team you want to add a payment method for (if you’re in multiple teams).
  3. Add your payment card info.
Note: You can’t add a payment method if you’re in a market where Marquee and Showcase aren’t available.

Admins and Editors in your team can use this payment method to create a campaign.

You can only add 1 card per team.

Billing cycle

We charge your payment card each day you reach your billing threshold in your local billing currency.

Your billing threshold is based on your history of payment activity.

If your team is new to Marquee or Showcase, you’re charged more frequently and for smaller amounts.

As you build a successful payments history, you can expect to see a longer duration between charges to minimize the number of bills you receive.

Any leftover spend is charged on the first day of the following month.

You’re only charged for clicks, so your final spend may be lower than your budget.

Marquee campaigns run for 10 days and Showcase campaigns for 14 days — or until your budget is spent.

If your campaign has sub-campaigns, you receive a single invoice for all sub-campaigns.

Taxes and tax identification number

Managing your tax ID

You can add, edit, or remove your tax ID on your billing page.

Validation

  • Tax ID validation can take up to 24 hours, but you can start creating campaigns right away
  • If your tax ID is verified, you may not be charged additional taxes
  • If your tax ID is personal, invalid, or not submitted, taxes may apply to your charges
  • If the number is returned as invalid (for example, if it was entered incorrectly), you'll have the opportunity to enter a new number or you can continue booking campaigns with applicable tax treatment.

You can edit your tax ID at any time. If you remove it, taxes may apply to future charges.

Understanding tax charges

Your tax charges depend on the status of your submitted tax ID. Changing or removing your tax ID may affect how you're taxed, even during active campaigns.

Should you not provide a valid tax identification number or equivalent, Spotify reserves the right to charge any indirect taxes that may become due in accordance with applicable law.

If you're subject to tax, the final tax amount will be applied at the time of billing and separately stated on your receipt or invoice. Your final charge will depend on your campaign's performance.
