Creating a Music + Talk episode

Add songs from Spotify's catalog of over 100 million tracks to your episodes alongside your talk segments.
On web:
- Click New Episode then Record or edit.
- Select
Music.
- Search for songs from Spotify's library, or click Link Spotify to browse your playlists.
- Click + next to songs you’d like to add to your episode, or drag them into your episode builder.
- Add talk segments from your
Library or
Record tabs.
- Drag and drop to reorder your talk segments and songs. Click Save changes when you’re done.
Note: You can't publish an episode if it only contains songs. - Add a title, description, and publish date for your episode.
- Make sure your episode meets our guidelines, then click Submit episode for review.
On the mobile app:
- Go to Tools and tap the
button.
- Select Music.
- Search for songs from Spotify’s library, or tap Connect to Spotify to browse your playlists.
- Tap + next to songs you’d like to add to your episode.
- To add talk segments to your episode, tap
. Drag and drop to reorder your talk segments and songs. Tap Publish when you’re done.
Note: You can't publish an episode if it only contains songs. - Add a title and description for your episode.
- Make sure your episode meets our guidelines, then tap Submit episode for review.

Music + Talk is available to creators in the following countries and regions:

Review statuses
We review Music + Talk episodes before they go live on Spotify. You can check the review status of your Music + Talk episode on the episode detail page.
- In review: Our team is reviewing your episode to make sure it abides by our Terms of Service, our episode creation guidelines, and our episode monetization guidelines, where applicable.
- Published: Your episode has been approved and is now live on Spotify.
- Rejected: Your episode has been rejected and reverted back to a draft state. We’ll send you an email outlining the reason for your episode's rejection. You can make adjustments to your episode from your episode detail page and resubmit it for review.
